Due to dry conditions, the Beulah City Council, by resolution,
has decided not to permit the use of fireworks within city limits
and the extra-territorial zone until further notice.

Violation shall be considered an infraction for which a maximum penalty of
a fine of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) may be imposed.
Mercer & Oliver County Fireworks Ban
On June 21, 2021 Mercer & Oliver Counties declared a Ban on the use of private fireworks, effective immediately until further notice, regardless of the ND Fire Danger Rating Category. Public Display/Commercial use of fireworks which have been approved by permits issued from the Mercer/Oliver County Sheriff’s Office are authorized to use fireworks. All incorporated cities within Mercer & Oliver Counties will regulate their own use of fireworks.
THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF THIS FIREWORKS BAN IS A CLASS B MISDEMEANOR (NDCC 37-17.1-10.1) PUNISHABLE BY A FINE OF UP TO $1500.00 AND 30 DAYS IN JAIL. THE MERCER & OLIVER COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENTS ARE AUTHORIZED TO ISSUE CITATIONS TO VIOLATORS.

Please do not dispose of garbage across the street from the Transfer Station. Garbage may only be dropped off during open hours.
BURN BAN INFORMATION
Mercer County has proposed a Stage I Burn Ban.
The City of Beulah is exempted from the ban within city limits unless approved by City Council.
The City of Beulah will allow gas, propane and charcoal grills to be used,
as well as approved campfires, as long as the fire is attended and a water source is available.
Updates will be posted if there is a change.

Effective October 1, 2021, it is unlawful for any person to park or leave standing any boat, bumper pull travel trailer, fifth wheel trailer, pull-type camper, pickup camper, motor home or trailer on any public street, alley, highway or right-of-way in the city of Beulah. The official ordinance runs from October 1, 2021 through April 15, 2022. The City Council, Public Works Dept. and Beulah Police Dept would appreciate residents' cooperation in the removal of these items from the city streets.
