City Council Approved Lot Sale Guidelines (revised August 9, 2021):
1. Residential City Lots (except Barton Estates) - $.50/SF
     a. If a home is constructed within 18 months after purchase of the lot, the buyer will receive a $.25/SF refund of the lot purchase price.
     b. If a buyer purchases two adjoining lots, the purchase price for the second lot will be $.25/SF. The purchase agreement for the second lot will include verbiage that the lots are to be legally combined into one lot. Legal fees are estimated at $1,200 per lot and will be added to the purchase price to be paid by the buyer.
2. Barton Estates Lots - $.75/SF
     a. If a home is constructed within 18 months after purchase of the lot, the buyer will receive a $.25/SF refund of the lot purchase price.
     b. If a buyer purchases two adjoining lots, the purchase price for the second lot will be $.50/SF. The purchase agreement for the second lot will include verbiage that the lots are to be legally combined into one lot. Legal fees are estimated at $1,200 per lot and will be added to the purchase price to be paid by the buyer.
3. The buyer will be responsible for obtaining abstracts and title insurance. The buyer will receive either a warranty deed or a quit claim deed for the property depending on how the property was obtained by the city.
4. Special assessments attached to the property will be the responsibility of the buyer.
5. Sale of commercial lots will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
